Operational and search units of the State Border Guard Service carry out systematic measures to expose and stop the activities of organized illegal groups involved in the unlawful movement of goods and cargo across the state border.

Despite the increased protection of the border with the aggressor country, some representatives of the criminal bodies do not lose hope of making money on the state border.

So, at the beginning of this year, carrying out a set of measures among organized illegal groups, the military personnel of the operational and search unit of Kharkiv border guard detachment exposed a group of persons who planned to establish a channel for unlawful movement of goods and material across the border. For this purpose, the smugglers planned to use off-road vehicles without properly executed documents and with fake or destroyed numbers of components and assemblies.

Today, during the implementation of the materials of criminal proceedings, a joint interdepartmental group consisting of: military personnel of the operational and search unit of Kharkiv border guard detachment, officers of the SSU in Kharkiv region and the National Police, with the power support of military personnel of the Dozor mobile unit of the State Border Guard Service, under the procedural guidance of the Dergachivskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv region, conducted searches in places of storage of vehicles that were planned for use in illegal activities at the state border.

According to the results of searches, 14 SUVs including Ford, Opel and UAZ were seized.

Active measures to expose and stop the activities of members of organized illegal groups at the border continue. Information on the results of this work will be made public in the near future.
