In Lviv region, a man called the police, accusing border guards of extorting €2,000 for permission to travel to Poland.

A man born in 1997 tried to cross the border at the BCP ‘Mostyska’ by the Kyiv-Premyshl train as an accompanying person for a person in need of care. The traveller did not have the necessary documents, so he was refused by representatives of the State Border Guard Service. In response, the man made a deliberately false call to the National Police.

He explained to the policemen that the border guards had not extorted money from him, and that he had called to discredit the border guards.

For his actions, the applicant received a decision on deliberately calling special services with a fine of UAH 850.
