Some days ago, operatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine revealed a record quantity of cocaine in the Pivdennyi Sea Port.

Some days ago, operatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine revealed a record quantity of cocaine in the Pivdennyi Sea Port.

The drugs were transported in a container with a cargo of bananas, which arrived on a ship from the Republic of Ecuador.

Due to the information received by the operatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the attempt to smuggle drugs was stopped.

Operatives detected 100 packaged briquettes with cocaine in the container. The total weight of drugs is about 112 kg. The value of the seized drugs in the grey market is more than 17 million US dollars.

There is the investigation into this case.

The joint operation was carried out by operatives of the State Border Guard Service with the Odessa Customs officials of the State Customs Service, the SSU in Odesa Region, the Port Control Group (PCG) and under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Region Prosecutor's Office.
