Officers of the 9th Border Guard Detachment found three areas with cannabis grows in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.

According to the officers, they managed to detain two young men who were cultivating cannabis plants. In total, more than 8300 cannabis bushes were found on fields with a total area of 1.5 hectares.

Another "florist" was detected in Zhytomyr region. An interagency group of border guards and the National Police conducted searches in the framework of criminal investigation in the estate of a resident of Korosten district. More than 200 poppy bushes were found and seized during the operation.

The investigation is being conducted. Those involved in the illegal activity criminal responsibility is imposed.
