Taking into the account rising of great tension at the state border of Ukraine, units of the State Border Guard service of Ukraine continue to protect intensely the state border not only on the eastern and southern border segments but also on the other areas.

33 illegal migrants were apprehended by the border guards of the Chop border guard detachment today at night, migrants tried to cross the border by several groups.

One group of violators was detected by border guards during  the border segment checking at the suburb of the Onokivsi village (Zakarpatska region). After the receiving of alarm signal notification border guards arrived to the detection place and apprehended 6 persons only in 200 meters from the border line.  They are natives of Afghanistan.

Less than in an hour border guards detected 24 persons more.  Referring the words of detained persons, 24 of them are natives of Afghanistan, 3 – natives of Syria, none of them had documents.

For now  all detained persons stay in border guard detachment, checking and searching activities of persons responsible for illegal trafficking of detained persons is being conducted.
