First cases of requesting for asylum in Europe by Ukrainian citizens who have to leave the Crimean peninsula were fixed yesterday.

Group of 32 Crimean Tatars (including 17 children) came at BCP “Shegyni” (Lviv region) yesterday evening.

They told they were residing near Eupatoria town and stared being persecuted by so called present Crimean authority for their assistance to Ukrainian military. They stated they were following to Poland to get refugee status there. Polish colleagues were informed on that fact. While Crimean Tatars were waiting for the neighboring country’s decision, Ukrainian side jointly with local businessmen organized rest-room and dinner for the Crimeans.

Soon, Polish side made positive decision concerning their request and they’ve  passed the border checks.
