Today, officers graduated the National Academy of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky. It was the jubilee 25th graduation of officers.
237 officers, five of which are listed on the Board of Honor and 54 who received diplomas with honours, graduated this year.
Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, the Head of the State Border Guard Service Viktor Nazarenko and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valerii Kondratyuk participated in the occasion. Representatives of local authorities, veterans and relatives of young officers were among the guests.
The National Academy of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has become a leading military institution. Academy graduates are high-level professionals, who are responsible for the protection of state border of Ukraine.
All young officers will be sent to all parts of the state border of Ukraine, except of antiterrorist operation areas.
A farewell of graduates with the Academy battle flag and their solemn march left an indelible impression on all guests.
It should be noted, that the history of the National Academy of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine began on 1 January, 1993. During the first graduation, 90 officers were sent to the border units.
