Borderguards of the Mukachevo Detachment detained 25 persons who intended to enter illegally the EU. All the detainees are citizens of Ukraine.

The largest group consisting of 6 men, 5 women and 10 children was detained by borderguards of the department «Luzhanka» during the implementation of the information received from the detachment operatives.

All detainees are representatives of Roma nationality. Germany had to be the final destination of the illegal trip, but the offenders were stopped by borderguards at 300 meters to the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. As the children were lightly dressed, they were provided with warm clothes and shoes.

Another three men were detained by borderguards of the section «Bohdan». While checking the information provided by officers of the operational and investigative department, the servicemen stopped a car in which a 20-year-old resident of Khust was carrying two conscripted persons aged 32 and 26. The detachment operatives found out that the driver of the car promised his passengers to take them across the border. All details of the organization of the illegal border crossing are currently established. The 20-year-old Ukrainian was reported to the National Police about the signs of crime.

Another offender, who had arrived to Zakarpattia from Ternopil region in order to cross the border illegally, was detained by borderguards of the department «Tiachiv». The man intended to swim across the full-flowing river Tysa in the night, out of which 10 drowned men who also tried to «force» the water barrier, were taken since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion.
