Yesterday, January 9, russian occupation forces continued to shell the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

The enemy inflicted a fire defeat using mortars, rocket and barrel artillery. Krasnopillia, Yunakiyivka, Bilopillia and Shalygyne communities of Sumy region and Novhorod-Siverskyi – Chernihiv region were under enemy fire.

In the AM day period,  rashists from the russian settlement of grafovka shelled the territory of Krasnopillia community with MLRS "Hrad" and barrel artillery. All in all, there were almost two dozen rocket explosions and more than a dozen artillery shells. In addition, the russian invaders dropped two explosive devices from a drone onto the territory of the same community. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The enemy fired twice at Shalygyne community from the area of the settlements of lokot and kozyne with 120-mm mortars – 10 explosions, and barrel artillery – 12 explosions.

Later, the enemy fired 120-mm mines on the border of Novohorod-Siversk community from the village of gudovka – 4 explosions were recorded.

In the PM day period, the enemy from the russian settlement of volfine shelled the territory of Bilopillia community with mortars, more than a dozen arrivals were counted.

Almost simultaneously, the enemy also straddled the territory of Yunakiyivka community with mortars, and about a dozen explosions were heard. The fire was conducted from the russian settlement of sudzha.
