The enemy continues to attack by fire the Ukrainian border areas

Yesterday, on 2-nd of January, russian occupation forces continued shelling the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

The enemy inflicted fire damage with the use of air missiles, barrel artillery and mortars. Velyka Pysarivka, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia and Seredyna-Buda communities of Sumy region and Snovsk community of Chernihiv region came under enemy fire.

In the first half of the day, the enemy fired on the territory of Snovsk community three times with 120 mm mines and 152 mm artillery projectiles – totally 35 explosions were counted. The russians opened fire from the directions of rakivka and novi yurkovychi settlements.

During the day, the russian occupiers shelled the territory of Krasnopillia community in two cases with 152-mm barrel artillery, and in two cases with 120-mm mortars. Totally, there were about a dozen explosions from shells bursts and almost two dozen - from mines. The fire came from the russian settlements of kolotylovka, dronovka, and poroz.

In the afternoon, the rushists launched totally 5 unguided aerial missiles from a helicopter on the territory of Ukraine from the territory of russia. Enemy ammunition exploded at the border area of Velyka Pysarivka community. Fortunately, there were no victims or destruction.

Twice a day, the invaders from the russian settlement of volfinske fired the territory of Bilopillia community with 120-mm mortars, totally there were two dozen hits. As a result of bombardment, a school building, a power line, and a car were destroyed in one of the settlements of the community.

At the night on 3-rd of January, the enemy fired from zernove settlement using barrel artillery on the border areas of Seredyna-Buda community, totally 32 explosions were heard.

In addition, the enemy dropped an explosive device from a drone on the territory of Zolochiv community of Kharkiv region, on the border with Sumy region. Fortunately, there were no victims.

The Defence Forces continue to protect Ukraine from russian invaders.
