THE SITUATION AT THE WESTERN BORDER

On March 17, more than 73 thousand people and 14 thousand vehicles crossed the state border of Ukraine with the EU and the Republic of Moldova. There was a substantial decrease in passenger traffic compared to the previous day.

Yesterday, over 55 thousand people left Ukraine. Over 33 thousand of them crossed the Ukrainian-Polish border. Currently, there is low traffic of people and vehicles in all directions.

Yesterday, over 18 thousand people arrived in Ukraine, almost 15 thousand of whom are Ukrainians. Most of them are men who are ready to defend our Homeland with weapons in their hands. We are proud of our compatriots! Overall, since the beginning of the overt armed aggression, more than 302 thousand of our countrymen have returned to Ukraine.

WE RECOMMEND to monitor the congestion of border crossings for the EU and Moldova (in Bukovina) on the Facebook page Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service-Western Border. Data is updated every two hours.

If you plan crossing the border with the countries of the EU and the Republic of Moldova, you can be consulted on certain questions of border crossing over the phones in the following link https://cutt.ly/GSdpZI7

REMINDING, all checkpoints on the western border (except for “Dzvinkove” checkpoint) work round the clock. Apart from registering people and vehicles, border guards and customs officers also perform arrangement of humanitarian aid for the Ukrainian army and our fellow citizens . Almost 800 vehicles with humanitarian goods were registered on the western border the previous day.

WE ASK all the citizens to keep rules of law at the border, prioritization and moral standards while crossing the border, and not to offer bribes to border guards for exceptional or illegal border crossing!
