The Hlukhiv City District Court of the Sumy Region considered the materials on bringing to administrative responsibility a private entrepreneur who did not fulfil the legal requirements of the border guards to stop his car and fled.

The Hlukhiv City District Court of the Sumy Region considered the materials on bringing to administrative responsibility a private entrepreneur who did not fulfil the legal requirements of the border guards to stop his car and fled.

We will remind, on December 9, 2020 in the Sumy region border guards found a place of preparation for illegal movement across the border of the goods from the Russian and Ukrainian side https://is.gd/lgNRTN. During the search, the team found an SUV, the driver of which did not comply with the lawful requirements of law enforcement officers to stop the vehicle. Subsequently, border guards together with the National Police detained the car.

The other day the court decided to find the fugitive guilty of committing an administrative offense, liability for which is provided by Part 1 of Art. 185-10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and impose a fine of 850 hryvnias.

It should be reminded that in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of July 27, 1998 No. 1147 “On the Border Regime”, authorized persons of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine have the right to stop and inspect vehicles. The driver, in compliance with the rules of stopping, must stop the vehicle at the place indicated to him, as well as provide for verification of identity papers of the driver and passengers, registration document for the vehicle and give the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and check its unit numbers.
