BORDER GUARDS REVEALED SMUGGLED GOODS WORTH MORE THAN FIVE MILLION HRYVNIAS IN LUHANSK REGION

While monitoring the state border near the village of Nozdrivka, border guards of the Luhansk Border Guard Detachment from the Joint Forces revealed two white plastic bags lying on the dirt road.

While monitoring the state border near the village of Nozdrivka, border guards of the Luhansk Border Guard Detachment from the Joint Forces revealed two white plastic bags lying on the dirt road.

During the further movement along the state border, the servicemen noticed 8 more externally similar bags on the side of the Russian Federation. Later, on the territory of Ukraine, border guards found an old Russian-registered Gaz-53 truck with a trailer loaded with the same white plastic bags.

The vehicle with the trailer was taken to the border guard division. After unloading and inspecting the bags, border guards found 45,915 baseball caps and 33 boxes of hookah tobacco. The preliminary value of the goods was up to 5 million 130 thousand hryvnias.

The vehicle, trailer and goods were transferred to the tax police. Measures are currently being taken to search the persons involved in illegal activities.
