Border guards of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment, in the framework of operation "Border-2017", detained 4 illegal migrants from India. The border squad of the “Velyka Palod” Border Guard Unit with a help of the night vision device detected the men who illegally tried to move to the neighboring country.

Realizing that they were exposed, illegal migrants tried to escape. In order to detain  them, servicemen had to fire several warning shots into the air. Soon, at a distance of 70 meters from the state border, border guards detained four men aged from 22 to 41 years old.

Detainees had no documents, but said that they are citizens of India and tried illegally get to the EU countries in order to improve their living conditions.

Currently, detainees are in Chop temporary detention point, and their future will be decided by court. The circumstances of the violation are being under offense examination.
