Information about possible illegal movement of smuggled goods across the state border was provided in advance by operatives of Lutsk Border Guard Detachment.

So, the border guards of Svitiaz Division were on the alert. At around midnight, near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, law enforcement officers detained two undocumented people carrying 12 packages of Belarusian-made tobacco products.

During the detention, one of the offenders tried to escape. Cigarettes probably got into Ukraine illegally. At present, they have been taken to the border guard unit for further transfer to the SFS. Border guards drew up procedural documents for violating the legislation on border guard issues. All the circumstances of this offense are being cleared up.
