At the Krakivets border crossing point, border guards found seven false certificates for passing PCR-testing for COVID-19.

All of them were provided for control by citizens of Ukraine, passengers in a Mercedes minibus, which was on its way to enter Ukraine from Poland.

During verification of the test results provided, border control inspectors questioned their authenticity. In the course of a thorough examination the border guards discovered that the forms differed significantly from the original. Reading the QR code of all the forms showed that they provided information about the same patient of the clinic, a Romanian citizen. Moreover, on the test forms the time of the results had not yet come.

In another case, a Van Hool bus arrived at the Grushiv BCP to enter Ukraine. During passport control, 4 people provided PCR tests with signs of forgery. When the border guards tried to scan the QR codes of the forms, they saw that the information about the patients was missing in them. Two Ukrainian citizens later confessed that they had bought these certificates from the bus driver.

Officers of the National Police were informed on these facts and a notification was sent of the discovery of signs of a criminal offense.
