All tactical groups practiced active actions on the water and in the air. The headquarters of the training management summed up and analyzed the activities.

During the training week, naval staff of the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service covered almost 4,000 nautical miles, took part in 185 exercises and drills, practiced 26 artillery fires, conducted a dozen training exercises, “rescuing” 18 people who were injured on board. Skillful actions of crews of ships and boats of the Maritime Guard provided air defense, in 10 cases - imitations of air strikes on tactical groups at sea. The attack of small speed targets was simulated 8 times, maneuvering and anti-sabotage defense of the ship were practiced.

Izmail Detachment of the Maritime Guard not only worked out the training plan for the first time as a stand-alone unit, but also conducted unique Sea Breeze artillery fire from the bow of a floating tank, Maritime Guard ship “Dzhmil”, as a part of a surface battle.

Preparation and disembarkation of inspection teams on board the violator vessel has undergone the greatest restrictions in the quarantine conditions of the training. But the training headquarters found a way out –this element was carried out within one national group. Thus, inspection groups of ships of the Maritime Guard disembarked together with their colleagues from the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the support vessel of the Ukrainian Navy in strict compliance with the norms of individual anti-virus protection.

Traditionally, all participating crews received commemorative awards at the end of the Sea Breeze training. Although there was no usual closing ceremony due to quarantine restrictions, the coordination headquarters noted that even additional restrictions in conditions of pandemic did not prevent them from gaining new experience of cooperation and demonstrating their unity in combating threats of various kinds.

“Presence of professionals from eight countries, 26 ships, 19 aircraft and about 2,000 military personnel during Sea Breeze, is truly a convincing demonstration of our readiness and determination,” said Vice Admiral Gene Black, Commander of the US 6th Fleet. “I'm sure Sea Breeze 2020 has improved the capabilities of all the elements involved; they demonstrated our commitment to the territorial sovereignty of Ukraine and strengthened cohesion and unity in the Black Sea region.”
