Two Stolen SUVs Discovered at the Border with Poland
BACKThe State Border Guard Service effectively utilizes the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol's database. Over the weekend, servicemen of the Lviv detachment discovered stolen vehicles.
A 2020 Land Rover and a 2019 Audi, both under the control of Ukrainian drivers, were heading through the Krakovets and Shehyni checkpoints. During border control, the database was triggered. Border guards found out that the Ukrainian-registered vehicles had been stolen in Germany and Canada, respectively.
Upon this discovery, border guards immediately informed the Interpol National Bureau in Kyiv and received confirmation regarding the vehicles. The vehicles, along with their drivers, were handed over to the National Police officers.
