In recent weeks, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine representatives detected considerable number of Russian citizens, who were trying to enter Ukraine to participate in the activities of destabilizing character. Such offenders are mostly detected at border crossing points but sometimes appear at the "green" border, too.

Yesterday border guards of Chernihiv border guard detachment detained a resident of Belgorod oblast at the area of responsibility of “Hirsk” border guard division. The offender was detected after triggering of signaling device. Unknown person was following towards the village Senkivka bypassing the border crossing point.

The detainee had no passport and provided military ID instead. It turned out that the man is a resident of Belgorod oblast and participated in Chechen war campaign in the past. Currently, the 34-years-old citizen of Russia was conveyed to border guard unit to draw up all procedural documents and find out all circumstances of the offence.

Let us recall that recently border guards of Donetsk border guard detachment detained 28-year-old citizen of Russia at the “green” border. The man was repeatedly imprisoned in Russia for illegal possession of drugs and theft. He admitted that he was travelling to Donetsk to participate in mass events in support of Russia.
