RUSSIA TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS ADMISSION OF FOREIGNERS TO ITS TERRITORY

Since March 18, 2020, Russia has temporarily suspended the admission of foreigners and stateless persons to its territory.

According to the resolution of the Russian Federation  Government restriction of temporary entry into their country does not apply to accredited or appointed employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign states in the Russian Federation, international organizations and their missions, other official representative offices of foreign states located in the territory of the Russian Federation, and family members of the abovementioned persons, drivers of vehicles of international road traffic, crews of aircraft, sea and river vessels, trains and international railways locomotives, members of official delegations and persons holding diplomatic, service, ordinary private visas issued in connection with the death of a close relative, permanent residents of the Russian Federation, and persons transiting via air border crossing points.

At present, there are 12 automobile border crossing points operating at the Ukrainian-Russian border: "Chuhunivka", "Pletenivka", "Hoptivka" (Kharkiv region), "Velyka Pysarivka", "Yunakivka", "Bachivsk", "Katerynivka" (Sumy region), "Hremyach", "Senkivka" (Chernihiv region), "Milove", "Prosiane", "Taniushivka" (Luhansk region).

No pedestrians are allowed.

Persons allowed to enter Ukraine: citizens of Ukraine; persons entitled to permanent or temporary residence in Ukraine, are spouses or children of Ukrainian citizens, employees of foreign diplomatic missions and consular offices accredited in Ukraine, representative offices of international missions and organizations accredited in Ukraine, and their families; drivers and service personnel of cargo vehicles, crew members. (Other categories of foreigners and stateless persons can enter Ukraine only in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.)

Persons who are not allowed to enter Ukraine: citizens of other countries and stateless persons.

REMINDER: The National Security and Defence Council recommends that citizens of Ukraine refrain from traveling abroad.
