KYIV SIGNS PROTOCOL TO ALLOW READMISSION AGREEMENT BETWEEN UKRAINE AND SWITZERLAND

A number of Ukrainian-Swiss bilateral documents were signed during the state visit of the President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga in Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the President of Switzerland signed a Memorandum of Partnership between Ukraine and the Swiss Confederation on bilateral relations and the implementation of the Swiss Cooperation Program for 2020-2023 in Ukraine.

In the presence of the Presidents, the Head of the State Border Guard Service Serhii Deineko, the Head of the State Migration Service Maksym Sokoliuk and the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Ukraine Claude Wild signed the Implementation Protocol to the Agreement between Ukraine and the Swiss Confederation on June 7, 2017.

Its conclusion will allow application of the Agreement between Ukraine and Switzerland on the readmission of persons of June 7, 2017. Implementation of this international agreement will have a positive impact on the development of relations between the two countries, will determine on the basis of reciprocity rapid and effective procedures for identification and safe and organized return of persons who do not comply with the rules of entry, exit and stay in their territories.
