In order to support and develop institutional capacity in the face of Russian aggression, the State Border Service continues to cooperate with charitable, international and state institutions to attract critically needed assistance.

The other day, in Kyiv, in the Administration of the State Border Service of Ukraine, a meeting was held with representatives of the Holy See and the Foundation of the Monastery "Santa Clara" (Kingdom of Spain).

The parties discussed the areas of further cooperation regarding the provision of humanitarian aid, rehabilitation by military personnel and the exchange of experience of State Border Service doctors in medical facilities on the territory of the Kingdom of Spain, as well as the use and operation of the provided mobile medical complex by State Border Service medical personnel.

The head of the DPSU thanked the Government and the people of Spain for their support and assistance, in particular in equipping health care facilities of the State Border Service with medical equipment.

"Currently, medical assistance to Ukrainian soldiers is extremely important and urgent, because for the second year in a row, Ukrainian soldiers continue to heroically fight and defend the independence of Ukraine and the values of the European community and the entire civilized world," noted Serhiy Deineko and personally thanked the director of the "Santa Clara Monastery" Foundation Sister Lucia Karam for her tireless work and the truth about the selfless struggle and sacrifice of the Ukrainian people, which she continues to convey to the people of Spain and the Catholic community.

On the eve of the meeting, the foreign delegation visited medical facilities where wounded border guards undergo treatment and rehabilitation, as well as met with internally displaced persons and learned about their most urgent needs.

The representatives of the foreign delegation emphasized the unquestionable support of the State Border Service and the continuation of the search for new directions of assistance by which the civilized world can help Ukraine defend its independence in the fight against the brutal attack of the aggressor country.
