Since the special operations started at the Ukrainian-Russian border, 3 500 of Russian citizens who could take part in activities to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, particularly in Crimea, were refused for entry into Ukraine.

Every day, border guards refuse nearly 500 citizens of Russia for entry into Ukraine. The items that can be used to cause physical injury, symbols of provocative nature, military clothing and ammunition are revealed among their belongings. Among extremists refused for entry are former military mostly, but there were also former prisoners.

One of such "adrenaline addicts" was apprehended in Donetsk. He tried to bypass the checkpoint tonight. During filtration measures the border guards found that the violator was a 28 -year-old Russian citizen of V. Shyshchenko locality. Not once he served his sentence in Russian prison for illegal possession of drugs and theft. The detainee admitted that he went to Donetsk to participate in a massive rally in support of Russia.

Many “travelers” are also apprehended by border guards at railway BCPs., two Russians who went to Ukraine by train “Nyzhnii Tagil – Kharkiv” were refused for entry at “Kupiansk” point of control (Kharkiv region). Young people (of 1992 and 1989 year of birth) behaved aggressively and were unable to confirm the purpose of the trip. These citizens (A. Yablokov and O. Vikulyenkov) carried special robes, martial coat, shelter belt, mobile radio station, knife, bandage, special footwear, lantern, thermal underwear and military registration card along.

Another one followed by “Yekaterinburg –Simferopol” train via BCP “Ilovaisk”. He was unable to provide the purpose of the camouflage uniform coat trip and master sergeant shoulder board and stripes of the Russian Federation armed forces and naval infantry.

One more Russian was refused for entry at the BCP “Odesa-airport”. He had a prescript to perform tasks in the Transnistrian Republic of Moldova and Russian military uniform and chevrons and stripes among personal belongings.

In general, several thousands of border gourds are involved into strengthening the state border section protection.

Border guards continue taking measures for BCP strengthening on the border with Moldova as well. Additional provision of units by forced stop means such as “Kaktus” is conducted and concrete blocks to avoid the possibility of a breakthrough via BCPs are set.
