Border guards of Luhansk Detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhen Pikus donated blood to replenish the blood bank of Luhansk region.

The servicemen promptly responded to the call of the Lysychansk General Hospital.

“Today, forest fires have been raging in Luhansk region for four days now. The blood we donated will be used to restore the health of citizens who suffered from the fire and need appropriate treatment. It is also our sacred duty to help our citizens. That's why we urge all citizens to join the blood donation,” said one of the donors, Senior Lieutenant Ihor Zubrytskyi.

According to official reports, as a result of fires in Luhansk region, 71 people sought medical help, 34 people were hospitalized.
