According to the information provided by Polish border guards, today at around 09:00 on the territory of Poland, on the road in front of the border crossing point "Medyka" (Republic of Poland), adjacent to the Ukrainian border crossing point "Shehyni," traffic restrictions for freight vehicles have been reinstated.

As a result, traffic disruptions are possible both when leaving Poland and entering. Currently, approximately 800 trucks are expected on the Polish territory, waiting to enter Ukraine in this direction. At the same time, organizers of such actions on the territory of Poland do not plan to obstruct the movement of buses and passenger cars.

Currently, Ukrainian border guards are taking measures to monitor the situation and clarify cooperation with their Polish counterparts regarding the procedure for the further clearance of freight transport and the categories of goods that will be allowed to cross the border.

Let's recall that as of December 24, 2023, the blockade of truck traffic at the "Shehyni-Medyka" border crossing point had been suspended. During this time, approximately 300 trucks passed into Ukraine daily. However, traffic disruptions for trucks have been ongoing at the "Krakivets – Korcheva" and "Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne" border crossing points since November 6 of the previous year. As of this morning, 850 trucks are expected on these routes from the adjacent side, waiting to enter Ukraine.
