Border guards of the Chop border guard detachment found a vehicle wanted by Interpol as stolen at the "Tysa" border crossing point.

The vehicle, registered in the Czech Republic, was being driven into Ukraine by a 36-year-old Moldovan citizen. During document verification, the car flagged an alert in the Interpol database. Law enforcement officers notified representatives of the Interpol National Bureau and the Uzhhorod district police department.

Upon request from border guards, the Interpol National Bureau confirmed that the 2018 BMW vehicle had been reported stolen a year ago in the Republic of Austria.

The car and its documents were handed over to the National Police officers. The driver's actions are considered to indicate involvement in a crime.
